We are officially a full month in to 2021, and we already have some amazing news to report! After much prayer and planning, we intend to complete some major renovation projects for our campus facilities! These renovations will provide more space, dignity, and a welcoming atmosphere to the men, women, and children we serve on a daily basis. These projects are only made possible due to your incredible financial support in 2020 as well as your ongoing support this year. We are excited to share more about all that is happening here as it unfolds, and we urge you to stay tuned for some BIG news coming in the next few weeks!
This year we also would love to share with each of you a monthly devotional (see below). These devotionals are written with our donors in mind, and we hope they are a source of great encouragement to you. February’s devotional is about staying anchored in Christ’s love, regardless of the circumstances. The year 2020 was tumultuous, and could have easily dimmed the Mission’s ability to be salt and light to those that we serve. Yet, as we continued to focus on Christ for all our ministry needs, the Mission’s prayers were continuously answered by God. The Mission finished 2020 strong and hopes to continue that growth this year as well!
Also remember to stay tuned for some BIG news coming soon! As always your support is more than appreciated, it is life-changing.
Steady, immovable, anchored? As believers, we long to feel secure in a world that is not our own. Assurance and security are incredibly valuable, but if we are honest with ourselves, most times we are left with more questions than answers. In addition to the external riptides that threaten to pull us from security’s shore, there is the internal tendency to drift way from our Savior.
Hebrews 6:19 says “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”
Jesus is this anchor for us. Our confidence and our anchor is in Christ alone.
John 10:28 states “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
No matter how uncertain things become, we can be certain that Christ has us safely anchored in His love.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” (Romans 8:38)
