Have you ever had a horrible day and just needed some support, a shoulder, or just a listening ear? Instead, you often get empty sayings, misquoted and out-of-context Bible verses, and the feeling that you’re broken and in need of fixing.
It seems that life is packed with those days. However as believers in Christ we have a comfort that the world does not. Psalms 34 details a man in distress who continually chooses to exalt the Lord in his time of need.
Psalms 34:18 states “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.“
So if your cloudy days have turned into more than a bad weather announcement, and those “let go” and “let God” clichés have become more insulting than comforting; know that the God you serve understands and that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1).
